I created a "what if" scenario from a mock draft, which you can look at here: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/438257

If the Toronto Maple Leafs drafted Patrik Laine 1st overall (which i am fully aware would never have happened, but hey, this is all for fun, what-if scenarios like this aren't supposed to be taken seriously), and Matthews was taken 2nd by the Winnipeg Jets.

This trade was added in after i posted this. As @mauston_atthews brought up, if Laine was picked 1st, then TOR would have been able to keep Nazem Kadri. As i cannot find Calle Rosen on the Avs, Tyson Barrie on the Leafs, or the 6th round pick the Avs gave the Leafs (since that draft has passed) , it'll have to settle for Kadri for Kerfoot.
