Description

Basically trade for underperforming players that are at least NHL caliber that have approx 2 yrs of term remaining. Save enough space to resign Ullmark. Run at the cap for 2 years with a team that is at least fringe playoff contender. No scouts so picks this year can be thrown out for w/e. Owners made $4,000,000 last year, they can survive.

Maybe not these moves but give Calgary whatever it wants for Gaudreau.

Calgary would be insane to take that deal.

I don't think any team would touch Skinner's contract with a 10 foot pole at this point.

I mean even if you're taking Lucics contract, Skinners is infinitely worse with the retention we basically get the same contract with Lucic but much longer term. At minimum id expect Dylan Cozens and a couple firsts to make us even consider doing that.

Why would Boston trade a guy who has 3 goals for a guy that has 2 goals and give you a 1st rd pick,

I get the going for under performing players concept, but Hall isn't exactly at his peak value either.

Team control alone means Debrusk has more value - you set the criteria.

Skinner is not be traded and we for sure are not retaining on that deal. That would be 3.5 million a season for 7 seasons to not play here. No way the owners sign off on paying someone 24 million to not play here.

If, I had to do the Hutton deal to get the Johnson deal I would otherwise I'd pass on it and do the Johnson deal all day.
