Description
If Gusev wants to stay in the NHL this year i think the pens should definitely look at him maybe on a cheap deal for depth and he might connect with malkin we never know.
For the Bennett trade, i know recently he said that he doesn't want to be traded anymore and he likes playing for sutter so i don't think he is on the maarket anymore. I would prefer him instead of laughton because laughton is just a rental and will probably be gone next year but if they can't get bennett i would go and try to get, for the right price, maybe laughton or even a guy like nick foligno. Ryan Getzlaf would be huge also but he will probably not be moved too.

Yeah right... I’d rather burn my Crosby jersey than watch pens trade MP for Zadorov. This is an absolute fleece for bowman.

These trades actually make the Penguins worse.

Zadorov is about equal to Pettersson in terms of on ice impact. Evan Rodrigues about equal to Sam Bennett and slightly better this year. Mike Hoffman is horrible at 5v5 and much worse than Zucker.

I think there's a reason every pens AGM trades petterson, and like 80% of them are to the hawks fro Zad

Why on Earth would the Blues even consider doing that? We're not taking Zucker and Gruden is not at all enticing.

Actually that is the furthest thing from the truth. Most pens fans don’t want Zadorov. He’s not very good, and MP is younger with more ceiling. Pens have a surplus of LHD and MP is logically the most expendable player to improve our depth. The only trade that would make sense is MP for a good top 9 forward of similar age.

I don't like the idea of the Zad for Petterson trade and neigther do you. Lets just agree on that. But what i'm suggesting that PEns fans on here frequently trade petterson to the hawks for zad is not the "furthest thing from the truth". It's out there, and I would bet you know a lot more than most of the guys making these posts. I'm just telling you it definetly is a little alarm to fans of other teams when one guy they don't want is traded to them over and over on here. Makes you think the player isn't as good as he's made out to be. Kind of like kerfoot and Engvall with Toronto posts. And this is just Petterson to Chicago posts that I linked above, theres plenty more trading petterson to other teams. He's shopped around on here by pens fans very often

Okay, I agree with most people here that these trades are not worth it. But you didn't show the stats comparing Zadorov to Pettersson. Yes, Zadorov is slow as hell, but that factor is greatly exaggerated when a defenseman is a stay-at-home type. If you looked at Zadorov's pairing stats, you'll see that the Zadorov-Murphy pairing is top 3 in the league in xGA/60. Imo, that's pretty impressive, especially considering Chicago's inexperienced goaltending. Now, I am not saying I am dying for the Pens to trade for Zadorov. However, I do see why these Chicago fans such as @Wadejos123 value him.

You want those too? Here

Pretty close this year.

Pettersson better offensively over the last three seasons.

I don't mind him. I'm just saying that him and Pettersson are roughly equal in terms of impact.
