One year of nick leddy (who won’t re-sign) isn’t worth it for Detroit to take on ladd and Leo even with the 2s

Meh. Staal was serviceable and moved for a 2nd. Gonna say Leo costs a 3rd-2nd to move. Ladd - yeah, clearly more, but Nielsen is going back the other way. He worked in NYI before so I figure some turnaround is plausible - not much of course. Would think that a good year of leddy and an extra 2nd moves 1 yr of ladd?

hard to tell what the exact cost of these movements is. what more would u suggest adding?

I just don’t see the wings turning it around next year so no reason for them to want a rental dman to take on bad contracts.. I agree on the cost to dump Leo.. ladd likely takes a 1+bellows if I had to guess but idk I guess the value is accurate that you have but I just don’t see why that Detroit would want assets in the form they received I could be wrong tho

yes - but can they afford the QO and expected contract ask? They didn't qualify Verhaegue simply out of not having the contract room. This could be 2.0 of that situation.

Joseph has another year after this one they don’t need to qualify an offer until 23

goodness, i totally overlooked this. That's an obvious error on my part. No clue why I thought he expired this year.

I suppose a guy like Mitch Stephens could sub into this deal with some adjustments otherwise.

How much does Tampa Bay save 250k because they have to replace Rutta with a min 750k. This is an absolutely horrific trade Julien Brisebios says Steve call back when you're serious, and they get worse in 2 positions
