So much Cap Space

Description
Devils NEED to utilize their cap space. We have so much cap space and nothing to do it with. I don't expect us to get any big name free agents or resign any of our UFAs. What we should do is take advantage of cap crunched teams like Vancouver and get picks for taking bad contracts. Even after taking 4 big contacts from Vancouver, we have 13 M in cap space

      No thanks. His contract is horrible. Rather not help the Rangers. Also he has a NMC which makes it almost impossible to trade him

      Holtby has a nice buyout so they aren't gonna give anything to get rid of him and the price to move Eriksson is too steep so they aren't gonna move him. They might give up a 3rd to move either Roussel or Beagle but as of right now they have enough cap space to re-sign both Pettersson and Hughes so they have no reason to do anything currently

      Ok that makes sense. I was thinking the Devils could get at least a first round pick from those cap dumps.

      I don't see them giving up anything. Beagle is already on LTIR and I would be surprised if he ever played again for Canucks. Same as Ferland and they are still using Roussel as an every game player.
