His injury for sure decreased his value. Good pick up.

an actual very good defensive bottom 6er with grit. Much much better pick up than Foligno

C'mon now, wouldn't go that far, but I agree, great pickup for cheap.

Really, really good defensively, but also negligible offensively. With him being out the rest of the regular season, I feel like this is some kind of shenaniganery.

He is injured. This move looks like a cap space trade. Throw him on LTIR and have more cap space for a bigger move at the deadline.

he is, he's actually REALLY good defensively and dirt cheap. He doesnt have any offence, but the leafs really dont need that. Foligno is neither of those things

Is he going to ride LTIR until the playoffs or is he coming back?

still out 4-6 weeks, so if he does play it wont be until late in the 1st round of the playoffs

Oh now this makes sense. Leafs basically got him for free without using any cap space then. It sounds like CBJ just didn’t want to pay his salary.

pretty much, they got a 7th at least for a guy who was probably never playing again for them and saved a few hundred k

he's legit elite defensively and not a shell of his former self like Foligno and he cost almost nothing

K that's what you meant. But still Foligno is better.

he's not though, foligno literally has 0.1 more points/60 this year while getting much more ice time, power play time and softer minutes.
