Just out of curiosity what exactly do you think is enough for a back up goaltender that won’t play more than 4 games and a team has no interest in re-signing?

He's not a backup. His HDSV% is 10 points higher than Grubauer and his HDGSAA is only 0.8 lower despite playing half as many games due to injury. A winning record on a team that's 9-25-6. The idea that you think he's a backup shows your total lack of understanding. Either that or your ignorance towards rational thought, but I'll let you debate that in your own head.

Hey check out this goalies super small sample size and use it to make a rash decision and over pay. I guess Jack Campbell is worth Eichel on account of how he can't ever lose. Just look at his record man? Extrapolate they over a full season and that's like 50-60 wins!

You think he would start over Grubauer? Bro did you take your meds? I asked you what you thought he was worth by team who acquired him that he would be back up. But since you went all mental about me asking you polite question you do you.

he's going to be the backup in COL but he's a starter. U arent going to pay less for him because u plan to have him as ur backup

And hence my original question, what do you think he is actually worth? I asked because 1) goalies value across the league is really low 2) goalies are voodoo and establishing value seems to be difficult because teams are winning with all different types of goalies 3) Covid cap and reluctance to move young cheap pieces appears to be a very real thing. But instead I got a bent out of shape keyboard warrior response.

My point was that you're not gonna pay backup price for a starting goalie. The Sabres will just retain him, play it safe and resign him then. Sorry for losing it, too many idiots on here claiming every player on the Sabres is garbage and worth nothing.

All good, people are snarky here in general and I am too sometimes so I understand getting touchy. Personally I think the Sabres have a great foundation, Eichel, Dahlin, Reinhart, Cozens, and Quinn. It just seems they have a cultural issue that maybe Addams can straighten out. But watching Johansson and seeing Montour’s comments it doesn’t appear to be in a good place at all culturally.
