Both are UFAs and Barrie we know fits well with the team and has outproduced Hall as a dman. Seems like at best a lateral move, doesn't make sense for the Oilers

McDavid and Hall don’t work together both want the puck in the neutral zone, Hall needs to play with a play making centre and he transports the puck, if he can back to Edmonton, RNH would be his centre again.
