Yamo is too important to Draisaitl and having an actual second line. Edmonton isn’t trading 1st round picks and especially for defensemen. Edmonton needs forwards not defence.

In all seriousness can you state one area where the sabres are better after this?
You traded all the high end young talent for draft picks and cap dumps to trade another cap dump for all the draft picks. So they are left with less immediate talent and not a lot to look forward to either?

All of it. Everything is awful for the Sabres. Are you secretly Jason Botterill?

Still have two 1sts in 22 and 23, two 2nds in 22, our own 2nd in 23. I'm at a loss when you said not a lot to look forward to. Do you know any prospects? Like at all?

You can maybe argue the Dahlin trade and maybe the amount of picks given up to get rid of Skinner, but how is the rest of the trades awful? You must way overvalue our own players.

You’re out of your mind if you think any of those trades are good for Buffalo. Or you’re Jason Botterill. I really think you are.

Who do you think Buffalo would get for Eichel? McDavid? What about Reinhart? Matthews?

I would like to thinkni am pretty knowledgeable. I can't guarantee that nothing you brought in will be anything close to eichel or dahlin and honestly maybe not even Reinhart.
Plus you shipped out olofsson Thompson jokijarhu Bryson.
But honestly the most laughable aspect of your post is you took on quick and paid 9mil for Anderson lmao.

I don’t think they would get enough to call it fair value, so he wouldn’t be traded. Reinhart has proven to be too valuable to be traded either, because he doesn’t need Eichel to be productive. You’ve given away Olofsson as well. You are Jason Botterill, go away like he did.

I'm not expecting those players to be the next Eichel or Dahlin. Many of these prospects will be better than Reinhart. Olofsson is a PP specialist, doesn't do much of anything 5v5, Thompson is meh, Joker is meh, and Bryson doesn't fit in this timeline with Samuelsson and Johnson coming.

In case you haven't realized, this team would be in rebuild mode, I had to get to the cap floor which is why I signed Andersen to a 9 million dollar contract, but only for one year. Quick has 2 years left as well.

This team would be bad the first year.

It's called a rebuilding team, where they're not expected to be good.

You seriously wouldn't take a 1st and a A prospect for Reinhart? He's probably going to sign a 1 year deal so he can be a UFA the following offseason and bolt. Eichel is going to demand a trade because they're not making the playoffs next season. I don't know what's so amazing about Olofsson as well.

You’re an unbelievable pessimist. Who says no one wants to play here? Reinhart is a top six player on any team in the league, and good for 50 to 60 points in a full season. A late first round pick and what amounts to a lottery ticket isn’t necessarily going to make up for what we lose if Reinhart gets traded. Olofsson is a 20-30 goal man with a healthy Eichel passing him the puck. Jack wasn’t healthy at all this year.

You’re diluted if you think they can’t get better next year. Trading Bryson is a backwards move. Seattle takes someone, but they can use one of the extra draft picks they collect at deadline this year to bribe them to take Colin Miller instead of someone they would rather keep. I also think that McCabe might stay because the injury limits his free agent offers.

Where is the part they get good? You depleted their young players and have only gained an extra 1st for the next 2 years? Critical thinking is tough

The team has not finished outside the top 10 since 2013. I can't imagine Eichel and Reinhart having much patience left. If the Sabres aren't going to make the playoffs within 2 seasons, there is no reason for either of them to stay. Why would the top free agents come to Buffalo other than an overpay? Do the Sabres have a shot for the playoffs next season with Tampa, Toronto, Boston, Florida, Montreal, and even Ottawa in the division next season?

You have to believe every season is a chance for someone to surprise you. It’s no secret the Canadian division is dog crap. No one plays defense, that’s why there’s 10 goals a game. And half of that division is the Northeast division. I have to believe with a few smart moves the Sabres could be competitive and at very least challenge for playoff spot. If you really think they’re never going to get any better you’re not really a fan. A fully healthy Jack Eichel combined with a good coaching hire, hanging onto Ullmark, and finding a competent NHL back up goaltender would already go a long way.

What prospects make them better. Holmstrom and bellows won't be as good as Reinhart. Both are B prospects.
Bouchard isn't as good as Joki. Yamamoto is pretty good but but is just a top 6 winger.
I'm not even counting ress as a viable prospect
Turcotte your hoping to be a 1c madden and kupari are ok but for a trading eichel I would expect much better.
So your prospects are less than the players you shipped out which are all young. So you creates a blackhole of ineptitude and failure
