Why would Minny make the most sense? They're full of big bodies.

Have a stacked prospect pool, 2 firsts, his brother plays there so they could likely extend him, probably needs a more leadership type of player.

They should be looking to push for Eichel in the offseason, not trade for another grinder. Kaprizov is a superstar in the making but needs some help. They've never had a true 1C since their existence. I don't see it, but obviously there's gotta be something to it if it was mentioned on HNIC.

All of those things just say they have assets, not that they should use them. And the idea that they’d extend Nick Foligno is frankly absurd. It’s more connecting dots that have nothing connecting them.

I will say Marek understands the bank accounts but not long term investment strategies when talking TDL.

Minnesota can’t field a competitive team with Eichel under the cap. And as for the HNIC but, that was taken directly from Marek spit balling during 31 thoughts.

They certainly can. Can you think of a time MIN had two elite offensive talents that use speed and skill on the rush? Gaborik is the only one coming to mind for me. Fiala Boldy and two 1sts should be pretty close.

Let’s put it this way. Eichel and Kaprizov eat 20 mil. Zuccarello/Parise/Suter eat 20 mil, Brodin/Spurgeon/Ek/Talbot eat another 20. That means we need to fill 2 top 6 wings and a top 4 D along with signing 9 other players on the remaining 20 mil. And that assumes you trade Dumba. That’s Canucks level mismanagement.

I'd be shocked if Kaprizov gets $10M. Panarin got $6Mx2 in CHI. First year RFAs don't have many options for negotiations.

Yikes, good for CBJ if they get a first from some team though.

I agree, wings in general dont make as much as centers. Now there are exceptions to this like Marner and Rantanen got a lot of money as both had 80-90+ point seasons. Both deserved it. Panarin had 77 points and took a 2 year bridge at 6mill

Now depending on the direction Minissota decides I either see a Matthew Tkachuck bridge deal (7millx3) or they go more money and term (9.5x8 so Kucherov money). I have a feeling hes gonna get a bridge deal as he can always make more after depending on how well he does.

god though I wish Dubas was drafting back than and not Hunter, Kaprisov literally is the definition of a Dubas type of player and would just be a joy for us lul. Minny got themselves a steal

They didn't say this. They said Columbus believe this.

wild would be interested, but if they can get that first, he's not coming here. Don't Guerin paying that for somebody he can sign this summer

I don't think Foligno gets an outright 1st. I could see a conditional 1st depending on how far the team that gets him goes in the Playoffs.

Depending on which teams he has on his NTC list (and if he'll waive), MN might be bidding against themselves.
