Ekholm, Dunn have extra year, would cost and create expansion draft question

Kulikov is your best rental option. Give us Chisholm or a 2nd pick and he is yours.

Though they should've signed Pysyk in the offseason, good versatile depth to have around for league minimum.

Think R.Murray should be who they target, he shouldn't cost much to acquire and will provide some much needed depth.

Doubt some of these guys are really available, Arizona, Chicago, Dallas, St.Louis and Nashville are in playoff races so doubt they'd move those guys listed here.

Bringing back Kulikov would be hilarious from a fan reaction standpoint, he played well last season and Jersey fans have been complimentary about his game this season, for a 3rd round pick he might be worth bringing back.

Have thought for awhile that C.Miller might be a good addition for the Jets if he doesn't cost too much and at this point he probably doesn't, he'd be the Jets second best RHD after Pionk.

Del Zotto doesn't really move the needle enough other then as extra depth and Staal is done so don't see them as worth targeting for the Jets.

If the Jets do acquire a dmen who's more then just a spare body/#7 depth guy who's the dman that's coming out of the lineup??

in my opinion, Forbort is the weakest link in the lineup. a good amount of the left handers on here are upgrades on him

Forbort while slow has been solid, idk how anyone can complain about him, I think DeMelo is our worst dman currently.

Yeah I have a different opinion. Forbort is a pretty much a black hole offensively, and DeMelo has been good. I mean if we are just going off of accumulative season success than Jmo has been the worst on the team this year, but he's getting better lately. I think Pionk would benefit from someone who's at least a little bit better of a puck mover.

DeMelo's probably a bigger black hole offensively, I've seen very little from DeMelo this season that I'd call good, he and Morrissey were a disaster together.

Forbort and Pionk have worked well together and have easily been the Jets best D pair, it's the least of their problems.

Pionk has definitely carried Forbort. Demelo breaks up a lot of plays at the blue line and gets it turning in the positive direction in the transition game. He just doesn't do anything fancy but that doesn't mean he's bad.

Forbort does the same thing and breaks up a lot of plays in the D zone that the smaller Jets dmen can't.

I see DeMelo make a lot of mistakes that his D partner covers for, I appreciate a quietly good dman more then most but DeMelo does nothing for me.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one then
