Maybe they don't trade him but it's an option to consider. A leader and lots of experience. Bean could move the puck and take care of the offense while Gudbranson would be the defensive D. Could be a decent 3rd pair. Don Waddell should be on the phone right now.

Ceci is have a renaissance with the Pens and playing over Marino on the 2nd pairing at the moment. I don't see them willing to move him

Waddell has been VERY quiet. He likes are current group and doesn't want to mess up our mojo, but there are always areas that need improvement.

I see your point, but he would still be a good young depth option. I wouldn't want Rod to force him to play a game that's not his like what happened to Laine. I might just still be a bit salty about trading him for 7 games of Vatanen.
