Jets decline. Statsny is a better fit for the team than Drouin. Also, Drouin at $5.5 million is not a good value for his level of production.

Sabres decline. It makes no sense for the Sabres to send two picks for two pending UFAs when the team isn't in a playoff race.

Kings decline. Not trading a highly touted prospect for two fourth round picks.

Senators decline. They won't trade Chabot for a pylon (with an AAV of $7.9 million until 2026) and picks.

You mean the same guy who has 9 power play points on the Canadiens. The same guy who has 53 blocked shots and 17 points. The same guy with a shot of 106.5 and a long time veteran. I get not accepting the other trades but Drouin’s a pylon not Weber.

Why would the Senators trade Chabot who is a key part of their core? The same reasons you want Chabot and want to get rid of Weber are the same reasons why Ottawa will keep Chabot.

I don't think he'll win 11 out of 11 but he's a good goalie. Battles hard, has good positioning and doesn't get phased. He's a starter no question.
