Siegenthaler has posted very promising numbers so far. Great pick-up for Jersey.

I like this for NJ. Wonder if this means WSH is trying to add someone else

NJ found a replacement short/mid term for either Kulikov Murray or Vatanen (or all three) that will be traded/claimed today or tomorrow

At worse hes a decent 5D who has shown big time promise analytically. Steal by jersey

A guaranteed 3rd round pick for a former 2nd round pick who still has the potential to be an adequate replacement for the defencemen on New Jersey's left side that will soon be departing.

Siegenthaler goes to a team that actually wants him on the premise he can be a good, serviceable LD down the stretch and into next season.

The price for him was neither a cheap bargain nor outlandishly expensive by any stretch of the imagination.

I voted fair deal smile

NJ wins. This kid has top 4 potential and has been solid defensively and barely cost them anything.

This guy played 7 games. If he was better than a 5th dman he would play more than 7 games. He will play more in NJ because they are having a fire sale.

Barely expansion draft move. NJ protects the guy, WSH confirms they won't lose the guy for free.

7 games this season only lol. Washington has grossly mismanaged him.

Washington had Fehevary and Alexeyev that are NHL as early as next year AND Nardella who lead his team in points in the SHL. 2p/60m. JS was good but to get a 3rd for a player that would never play on this team is a win in my eyes

How?! Fehevary is way way better. Alexeyev is also better? Mismanaged they got a 3rd round pick for him lol ? Seems like a solid move all things considered

Expansion move, Washington gets something for a player they wouldn’t protect, I feel like it’s a fair trade

Because he was good and they kept playing other people over him. He didn't get the minutes he deserved

Siegenthaler is pretty promising, but I'd rather have the 3rd.

i thought the 3rd rounder was settled. If Zona wins this year that means its a 2nd then?

I mean Orlov is way better than him and Dillon = to him. Chara should have never been signed but at the end of the day Fehevary + Alexeyev are the future and he wasn’t going to have a spot. Caps got a 3rd it looks fair but imo caps stole this trade.

Well clearly this is getting rid of cap space for a incoming rental
