Glad to see him preforming well in Jersey. He would never have been able to break through in DC that year and Washington likely would have preferred Fehervary to him, so I'm glad to see him succeeding elsewhere.

Seems like a trade that caps fans will complain about 5 years later because they don't remember that it made sense at the time.

Probably not I think. I would guess it was MacLellan getting as much as he could for someone that would otherwise been a 7D for the rest of that year and the next year.

Shame he did it knowing how well Siegs is doing now, but it was probably best for all parties that it happened.

I believe it was for the expansion draft
Capitals would have exposed Siegenthaler to Seattle
Devils needed a defenseman to protect
