    Agreed.
I’m also pretty sure they’re working on an extension. I don’t see him being traded if those talks are going good.

Hutton would be a good add. The rest are either not good or super over rated. Mike Rielly is succeeding on a bad team. He isn't really good.

NJ could retain salary on Murray instead, reaching their 3/3. It could explain why Vatanen is on waivers.

Or Vatanen has a good chance to clear because of its 2m. After clearing, he would have more value because waiver exempt. So nvm, it could be Vatanen that will be retained

He wouldn’t be a bad add for some injury depth though. We don’t wanna end up with Marincin again lmao.

He could be a good d man with the right team

Sandin is back so if Dermott gets hurt Sandin takes his place keefe and Dubas made it clear they want to see him play within this 15 game stretch in the NHL

Hutton has been decent in the past, and really this is a move to make sure Marincin isn't in the lineup in case of injuries.

He isn't. He just has a bunch of assists this year and somehow looks good. He's no better than anyone else on the list.

He is, and while his assists are higher than normal, they arnt super out of whack with his career numbers. The reason Reilly is good is because he's actually a very good defensive player for a bottom pairing guy, and this year he's doing even better than normal while getting hard defensive minutes and almost 60% dzone starts. He's way more in line from what the leafs need in a bottom pairing guy than any of the others here

true but honestly wish dubas traded for Siegenthaler for both upgrade reasons and reuniting reasons (played with Matthews on the lions) plus two consecutive seasons of 93th+ percentile scoring chance suppression in a 1400 minute sample isn't nothing.
