Why do people think Pettersson and his 4M cap hit are headed back to ANA? Mete is available close to league minimum for free. Not to mention Pettersson was already traded by GMBM. Maybe Getzlaf has decided to leave but I just don’t see Pettersson apart of the deal.

B)Pettersson’s contract makes him a dump. Don’t get me wrong....he’s not horrible, but he’s also not good, or even close to worth what he’s being paid.

If this trade happened as is, there would be a lot of downside for both teams.

But I'm sure all 4 of these players have been discussed between Burkie and Nonis.

I can imagine and I'm pretty sure that at some point, Burkie asked his ol' buddy Nonis if the Ducks can be a dumping ground for Petterson.

Nonis would say "Get back to me if you have something better!"
