The only way Sam will be traded is if the Pegula's decide to start all over and trade Eichel as well.
That is the typical return for a top player, 1st, decent prospect (former first round pick), and a young roster player with a decent upside (DeBrusk).
I wonder what Sweeney expected from Kase to give up a first round pick for him.
Let's presume Kase, DeBrusk and Vaakanainen all reach their top potential, none of them will be as good as Reinhart,

The difference between Debrusk and Reinhart is that Reinhart is actually a complete player wheres debrusk gets carried on a nightly basis.

Debrusk has only had one 1 20 goal season.

Reinhart Has had Four 20 goal seasons.

Eh. Debrusk is never a negative. He’s always a good forechecker, but he’s definitely having a down year. Reinhart is in his 6th year dude.

Anyhow, Reinhart is nothing special. If you think he’s of great value and you think debrusk is zero value, I’m inclined to think you might be a little crazy. Can’t say i blame you, being a fan of the Sabres would drive me crazy too.

debrusk has never once hit the 50 points mark in his career safe to say thats the kind of player he is.

My issue with this trade is that it literally doesn't help the sabres at all in fact none of the forwards equal Sam Rainharts level of play.
