I come back from vacation and see the Leafs lost to Utica plus Vezina Holtby and Horvat. Nothing different it seems.

canucks were only missing virtanen and schmidt, it was hardly the ahl roster.

Sure they all passed their physical but with their expected form and missing some players I would’ve called it an AHL team before the game

Still surprised that the Canucks didn't put Eriksson in. At least it wasn't THAT bad

Why is Jumbo still in the Leafs lineup? Seriously? No points in 16 straight games. 1 point in 21 games.

It's a pretty surreal record to pass. Doing something at such a high level for over 23 years and putting your name beside Howe's.

He's been terrible for the past 2 seasons (shouldn't even be in the NHL this year), but it's a huge accomplishment nonetheless.

Probably because apparently Nylander, Hyman and Mikheyev are out.

Killorn just raised his value 10 fold in about a 30 second sequence.

Always loved Killer and that was a killer shift (no pun intended).

If those 3 are out, both can be in.

Paul Byron should get suspended for a hit to the head of Ethan Bear. Hopefully the lack of suspensions for players playing against Montréal doesn’t also mean Byron won’t get suspended himself.

Matthews and Marner congratulate Marleau on his record. That's all that happens in that video.

the thing that bothers me about longevity records like this one... it doesnt take into account the players full career. like jagr is at 2606+, Howe is at 2421 if you include the WHA, Marleau is at 2008 with nhl, playoffs, world championships and olympics. I get this is an NHL only record but looking at some of the other guys and their careers jagr at 43 put up 67 points. marleau at 41 has 8 in 45. thats a sub 20 point pace. Completely different league and era but howe at 51 had 40 points... howe had 4 96+ seasons in the wha after he left detroit at age 42. Marleau had a great career, its incredible how long he has lasted but i feel like in a longevity contest we should be looking at total careers not just nhl.
