This will be a rude awakening to all those Buffalo fans that were insistent on Hall returning a 1st and a good prospect.

That is a good trade for Boston

A part of me was thinking he would get a conditional first honestly. But Boston may miss the playoffs if they don't preform and somehow NYR or Philly starts doing well again

Either Adams is very high on Bjork, or he himself is just very, very high.

I don't think anyone in BUF has any faith in hall.
I also think BOS is about to end up realizing what everyone else realized....hall is done.

BOS didn't even need to pay a 1st? This is a huge win, especially given that Bjork is almost done developing and isn't good.

This is what I expected Hall to go for. Should be a solid 2nd liner for Boston.

It's weird to see Boston acquiring Canadian players, besides Marchand/Bergeron, their team is mostly American players.

Somehow Savard is worth a 1st and a 3rd, but Hall is worth a 2nd.

One's an overpayment and the other is fair value

I'm basing my entire opinion on this video just for fun, even if I have a more intelligent, less emotional take on it.

If Melody Martin thinks Boston won the trade, then they probably won the trade.

She might be pretty harsh on the trade, but what can you do? :/

I voted for the Boston Bruins.

Hall must have turned down some teams, that's why the return is so low.

That's fair to say I suppose. But still, no matter how bad Hall is there is no way that Savard is better than him.

One of us needed 75% retention to afford the guy we wanted Sticking Out Tongue

Edit: That being said, I guess Detroit just got a 4th, so the extra retention probably wasn't it. The difference here is that Buffalo had few options then (Hall had trade protection, I believe). There were likely few teams that could afford $4m for Hall, were willing to take that risk even though he's not having the best of years in Buffalo right now, and that Hall was willing to go to. With Buffalo forced like that, they can't ask for a lot. CBJ could have moved Savard anywhere and lots of teams want solid, cheap defensemen rentals.

I guess the bruins are drafting first overall. Power will look good in black and gold.

LOL love seeing other fan bases try and **** on Bjork without actually watching him or knowing how he was handled in Boston. Cassidy loved to staple this kid to the bench for the smallest things. It wasn't uncommon for him to staple Bjork to the bench for have a shift that was slightly longer than Cassidy wanted. One turnover and BOOM Cassidy would staple him to the bench. Bjork had a stretch where he one of Boston's better forwards, he then had one bad game and Cassidy scratched him.

Now I'm not saying Bjork is some stud, but he at worst is a 3rd line LW/RW that plays a 200ft game. Can play on the PK, has good hands and when he plays with confidence he can be more of a middle-6 player. Wouldn't be shocked to see him go on and find success like other former Bruins forwards have after leaving

Honestly, everyone is still overrating Hall, but still think Hall is worth more than a 2nd and Bjork.
