If the rangers are extremely lucky they could get a 2nd rounder for kreider. His contract is brutal. Personally, if the rangers offered me kreider and a first for a 7th, i wouldn’t take it. His contract has buyout written all over it.

I think the notion of acquiring a 30 year old power forward with 7 years left on his deal is insanity. Remember backes?

Agreed it does likely lead to a buyout in 4ish years but this is Boston’s window and you can’t say that he isn’t the type of player (current stage) that you guys could use.

Sure i can. He’s a power forward that turns 30 in two weeks. Maybe the bruins would be extremely lucky and kreider could play for four years. Maybe he follows the trend of so many power forwards before him and is absolutely garbage in a year.

There’s precious little that would entice me to take on kreider’s contract. Maybe if the rangers ate half.

Would be nice if this could happen but i doubt it does not only because of his contract but also the fact that they just signed it to him last year and players dont generally get locked down for 7 years than traded (also Kreider has an NMC and wouldn't waive)

CF people are funny. He's no Broke Backes or DeSlug DeBrusk he's a freak of nature that will age nicely with his speed and traits. He's not a power forward that gets abused, he plays a safe game while simply dominating the league in net front presence. Starting in 25, he and Trouba can be traded @1/2. Chances are they'll still hold value then and gms will be calling.
