Sure dont - just Cap purposes. immediate unconditional waive. I wasnt really sure if holloway would be an option, just another forward prospect would be nice

Why is NSH adding a 1st in the Ellis trade? Philly adds the 1st

even better - the last time I did a trade with philly on here, flyer fans said Myers was more valuable than i thought

I'm probably in the minority, but I think arvidssons best days are behind him because of injuries and his game doesnt suit the playoffs as well as i would like. I think lavoie and holloway are high end prospects that are worthy of trading ekholm for. The money will really be a wash assuming ekholm signs a new deal with EDM (he will get big money). Neal is obviously overpaid, but has a good relationship with our core and could be a serviceable depth piece. His deal would be up by the time the prospects RFA deals. Still have plenty of cap to work with

I'd be ok with trading Arvidsson, but he still has good value. I wouldn't give him away for nothing. I agree that Holloway is the kind of high end prospect that would be required to get NSH to move Ekholm, but I don't feel Lavoie is near that level. Even without Neal and Turris in the deal, I don't think there's enough coming from EDM here. Whether or not the Preds can absorb those contracts easily next season, the Oilers would still need to pay up to rid themselves of them.
