Kulikov is an underrated defensive defensemen who can log a ton of minutes, which will be needed for the playoffs.

After coming to New Jersey from Winnipeg, he hasn't regressed much and has a good cap hit.

For this trade to be more fair, just get rid of the condition and give the Devils a third already.

I voted for the Edmonton Oilers.

Fair, but if the 4th changes to a 3rd, Devils win.

As an Oilers fan, a 3rd means we were able to beat the Jets and get at least two rounds of experience for the core of this team heading into a summer where Holland needs to push to form a contender. Building off of a playoff round win is absolutely worth giving up a 3rd over a 4th.

You can never have too much depth in the playoffs. Remember Joel Hanley with the stars lol

Kulikov's been alright this year. Nothing too special. Seems a bit pricey when you consider what someone like Merrill or even Nemeth went for. I'll go with NJ by a bit.

Kulikov has not been good contrary to what NJD fans have been saying. Peep his advanced stats: https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/k/kulikdm01-advanced.html

The most he should have got is a 5th

Yeah look at the advanced stats: he starts 2/3 of the time in the defensive zone and is the main shutdown defender the Devils have. So he is getting tough minutes against, on a bad team, against top lines on other teams and he was partnered with Subban most of the time.

Kulikov is not Hedman but he plays tough minutes, plays lots of PK, hits, and blocks shots. A 4th/ possible 3rd is pretty fair.

Give the guy a break! He's paired with P.K. Subban, lol.

Are you kidding? His advanced stats have been just fine. Kulikov has been trending up since last year; it took forever to get that gruesome back injury behind him, but he did it.

No I am not kidding. He's not good. Provide some stats to convince me otherwise

Those are stats in all situations. Kulikov plays on the PK and not the PP, which drags them down. At even strength, he's a positive possession player despite starting over 60% of his shifts in the defensive zone.
