Switch Gauthier for Kravstov and it's probably the most realistic deal I've seen on this site if Buffalo is committed to a rebuild. But LA probably beats any Rangers offer cause they can offer an elite centre prospect in return, New York can't

Chytil is a potential top 6 C if that interests them but the rangers wouldn't move him

The Rangers aren't going to trade that much for Eichel, even though that's probably not even enough for Eichel

You're insane to think that. 3 prospects that may work out but haven't shown any NHL success yet for a top 5 centre that's signed long term and you say no?

Chytil doesn't have as high of a ceiling that the likes of Byfield, Turcotte, or even 1 of Kupari, Vilardi, or Thomas that LA has.. Kings are loaded with prospects and could beat any offer New York offers. Rangers would have to massively overpay to beat LA if there was a bidding war

Kakko has shown results, its just those results aren't points
Lundkvist is the hughest scoring U21 defenseman in SHL history and is constantly breaking records

Chytil is better than kupari and thomas

He's not better than Kupari and he may be a slight bit better than Thomas right now but that won't last long. He's tearing up the AHL and has loads of skill to be a future consistent point producer

Get real. Let’s be honest, I’m not a Sabre’s fan, but a 24 yr old elite 1C under contract for 5 more seasons get you a minimum of the equivalent of 4 1st rd picks. Something along the lines of a top 6 forward/top 4 d plus any prospect they want, and 2 1st rd picks. If Eichel were to sign an offer sheet (theoretically) he would 100% fit into the 4 1st rd pick tier. The offer above is a joke.

Producing in the AHL and producing in the NHL are 2 different things, especially when you look at how chytil is deployed in NY

We have to think that Kakko or Laffy is gonna be neccesary to make this move go. I hope we can make this deal without Kakko, but seems like it will be needed.

Completely agree with LA being able to offer more, but i don't think Eichel's value is as high as it has been in the past. Could be a bit of my Rangers bias, in the hopes that a trade can happen for as little as possible.

To make an Eichel trade happen either Kakko or Laffy would be necessary.

The Eichel trade I think is very likely, and would require this much at minimum.

then we don't get eichel. If he demands a trade you are not going to get anything close to that

Completely agree. This trade I made has clear bias toward as little value as possible going back to Buffalo as I am a Rangers fan. A roster player seems to be needed just can't think of the Rangers moving a roster player until the deadline next szn. It would be between Zbad and Strome. Zbad has a NMC which would make things more difficult especially if contract talks were to break down between the sides.

Lundkvist has less value if he isn't signed soon considering he can walk this summer I believe.

This is a completely biased offer admittedly so, but 4 1st's will not happen, I think my offer is missing a steady top 6 F but wouldn't know who and if they would make that deal until the deadline next year. Considering Eichel will be paid a large portion of his salary on July 1st if Buffalo were to make a deal it would be before that date, likely around the time of the Draft. I believe there is slightly less value for Eichel right now than there was last summer. Giving up a major dman prospect a top 2 pick and a first feels like a good starting point for an Eichel deal, and I agree there are missing pieces to this deal. I can see another 1st, and a roster player. The Gauthier add in was more so to even out the value for now, but seems like something better than Gauthier would be going to Buffalo (ie Strome or Zbad).

Center depth is THIN. Need a center get a center, even if that means move a young piece for a proven piece.

He would have been here this season if it wasn't for covid so hes 100% coming over and is almost guranteed to be a day 1 regular on D for us

I understand that he's an RHD and Jones is an LHD, but seems like the Jones signing could signal that Nils will not want to sign with NYR considering the Depth of Prospect within the NYR system that have contracts while he doesn't.

He already said hes signing, just that he didnt in 2020 because of covid and the uncertainty that comes with it

4 1st literally will. Duchene netted the Avs the equivalent at the time of 2 1st rd picks, 2 2nd rd picks a 3rd rd pick and a depth player. I don’t mean to be rude but you're kidding yourself if you think Eichel who at WORST is the 7th or 8th best center is 24 and under contract for 5 more seasons. Ranger fans want to say they aren’t giving up Lafrienere but there is no way an Eichel trade doesn’t happen without him and several other pieces going the other way. A premium 1C is the most valuable thing in hockey, it’s just a fact, and no amount of well Gauthier evens the value out well Kakko was the #2 overall two years ago but ignore that he hasn’t been able to score regularly. To get a premium asset you have to pay a premium price, and how is a premium price being paid when the top prospect isn’t included. Remember I have no dog in the race this is all my objective opinion because I could care less about either team.
