Any team really, Thought y'all needed a RHD :/

Plus, Isles pick will be late.

And their not giving up a 1st for Ristolainen. They have Subban to be their bad RHD. If they did it would be, based on these trades with StL for multiple years of Dunn...

We do but Ristro isn't that guy. I rather trade for Dunn. Plus, some scouts are speculating that most of the talent this draft would be found late first/ early second round

The only way we should be drafting Owen Power is if we drop to 3rd overall and Eklund and Beniers go 1-2.

    Some thoughts:

1.) that is way too much for Dahlin for 3 years.
2.) too much for jokiharju for 2 years.
3.) not trading a first for Dunn.
4.) johnson isn't ready and is LHD anyways.
    5.) not enough for Ullmark
6.) UPL is not even an average AHL goalie at this point. He isnt making the NHL next year
7.) Jack Quinn is not ready and definitely not 1st line
8.) Who in the world would take cody eakin?

    Seattle passes before taking Eakin.

A defense without Ristolainen. A man can only dream.

You have to think Reinhart would want to play in the playoffs before his career is over. Everyone talks about Eichel being sick of losing. Why would Reinhart who has been a Sabre longer, want 6 more years of losing? Maybe he likes his long summer vacation...

It's sad that a reasonable Dahlin deal like this one is extremely rare on this site at the moment

    Do people still use +/-

Quinn, Peterka, UPL, and Johnson won't be on the team next year. Ruots is not a 4th line player either. Why would we draft Power when our need is down the middle or on the wings... Berniers or Eklund are the clear options for us imo.

He's been pretty good this year. If you cared to watch the Sabres this season, you'd know he's not a negative addition.

LHD is a need too. I'd kill for William Eklund or Matthew Beniers but would you take them that high over a top end defenseman?

I could at least Quinn up. Idk. Just have really high hopes for all.

There have been well articulated cases made against drafting for need and I encourage all relevant articles, tweet discourses, etc.

I mean you're literally drafting a player for 5 years down the road even if they're elite

Also a team being a cumulative result of efforts, imbalances are ok, the key is just boosting GF%

The Sabres are a tough watch.

Ullmark has been very good. I predict he signs somewhere else. And I'm not confident enough in Adams, yet, to let Ristolainen walk.

Ristolainen hasn't been the worst player on the ice. He's been better than the worst dman in the league. He has set the bar very low his whole career. Winnipeg, and the Sabres, should aim higher. Especially if it cost Winnipeg more than a late 4th. With retention....

Sure, but Berniers is the better prospect anyways in my mind. I'd be absolutely shocked if he isnt taken first
