I need a Harpur-Gudbranson D pair more than I need air to breathe.

One of the worst D in the league, why does NSH keep trading for guys like this?

Shouldn't Ottawa keep some veterans around the team at some point? I get it when you're receiving good picks back but a pair of future 7th rounders for a pair of NHL defenders that could help the young guys develop the right way seems ... unnecessary.

Deal is addition by subtraction for Ottawa.

Sens have really improved their Blueline down the stretch. Going from a bottom 4 of Reilly-Zub Brannstrom-Gudbranson to Brannstrom-Zub Mete-Bernard-Docker is a huge win.

Idk if you want Gudbranson trying to to tell Brannstrom and JBD, Mete too how to play as puck moving /TW defence. They got a game named Chabot that can help them. Plus it’s just gonna result in more exciting hockey in Ottawa

Everybody seems to be forgetting that Ottawa gave a 5th round pick to Anaheim for Gudbranson.

What we get back is a 7th round pick that can't be used in two years + a fringe ECHL player.

Although Gudbranson's salary is off the books, he'll be a key contributor to Nashville's push for the playoffs.

I voted for the Nashville Predators.

Dude Coburn and Gudbranson are non NHL players. Getting a pair of 7ths is a huge steal.

The point about needing Vet leadership is valid, but you gotta be able to hang. When your vet leaders are the worst players on the ice every single night, what good are they? They aren't supporting young D, they're handcuffing them.

The opportunity will be there this offseason to make additions in free agency.

Shouldn't this trade have happened before they lost C. Wolanin on waivers ? They could have kept Woolly.

While I do think Gudbranson is not a good NHL skater I think getting more depth for the playoff push in exchange nothing is good for Nashville.
Ottawa getting rid of a contract for nothing doesn't make really make sense other then Melnyk can save a bit of cash.
