Oilers, Jets, and Nashville aren't losers but they are in a playoff spot and I think they failed there chance to build there team to contend in the playoffs.

Washington, Toronto, and Tampa aren't including in the winners/losers spot even though they acquired players that will help there playoff run just because they overpaid for the players and will help the other team more in the future.

Winners Detroit, CBJ, Panthers, Blackhawks, and Bruins

Losers: Jets, Nashville, Edmonton, Buffalo

Coincidentally, every one of the "loser" teams are simply victims of not doing enough.

Caps are loosers for that terrible trade.

Im hesitant on Boston winning just yet due to Hall having bad baggage issues and could do more harm than good for them

so I would put them rn in the middle (not winner nor loser)

Not Buffalo. We sold our best assets, we just got poor value for Hall and less than we should have for Montour imo

I'm surprised Sheahan and/or Rieder weren't sold for like a 7th each... Hard to believe no one would want the depth

Even though Detroit won, I wouldn't consider them losers Mantha is still young and will help out Washington a lot.

Seeing the Vrana trade makes me feel like the Sabres could have been in on a Reinhart deal if they're still looking at flipping him.

I'm surprised Ullmark didn't move, but more surprised for the sake of the Sabres. Definitely a name they should look at extending.

Idk, They acquired Montour, Bennet, and signed Gusev, they got rid of Connolly's contract, I think they had a really good/underrated TDL

They were not looking to flip Reinhart, he's part of the core. I'm not surprised Ullmark didn't move because I don't believe a word the TSN guys say about rumors because its a bunch of heresay. Ullmark will extend

Jets and Caps lose

I don't think the caps are losers, even though they overpaid for Mantha, Mantha is going to really help them out if he is healthy.

All three aren't really good. Maybe if they bounce back

Winners: Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Sharks.

Losers: Capitals, Sabres

I think the Sharks are winners simply because they got some assets out of being a middle man in other transactions. They had a net gain at the deadline despite only moving one player.

They didn't lose anything to acquire them. Can expect more of the same next year.
