You're a smart guy. Your information is a year old, here. Jensen is tied for 19th among RHD in EVP with 12. Among RHD with 10GP this year he's 10th in points/60. He's playing PK1 minutes on a top 10 PK unit. If he were a UFA this summer he'd pull down 4M. Possibly 5. Last year, though, he totally played like a million dollars.

That's negative for the Jackets because the 2022 offseason is when we need to get new contracts to Jones, Werenski, Laine, either of the goaltenders we keep, and maybe some other folks. Taking on potentially troubled term would be a very very bad idea for us.
