Description

The Pens had two needs going into today:

1. Big, physical F - Check
2. Big, physical D - No dice

They wanted a 1st for MP before moving for another D and apparently couldn`t get it.

I don`t know how they make this swap work but I think there would have been a way to do it by either moving MP for assets <1st to give to Chicago or moving him directly to Chicago. Either way I think a deal was possible and it`s my only complaint. I know Hextall said they didn`t look to make any moves because they really like the team chemistry but I don`t think this move was going to offset that chemistry too much. Zadorov is apparently a big hockey nut and is a big talker. I bet Geno would have been happy to have a Russian too.

Oh well. I still like the team and the Carter addition. I just think the team missed a great opportunity to fill a big hole on this team. Hopefully the Pens can rally together with the apparent chemistry they`ve built and make it work in front of Jarry. I think he is going to have a hell of a time in the playoffs with teams abusing us infront of our own net. Especially on the PK. Interested to see how they plan to fix this moving forward.

LOL u wish. This trade stinks for the pens. No interest in Zadorov. Hawks got fleeced twice with a Saad trade. No reason for pit to help Chicago

Not saying its 1 for 1. I said Pens trade MP for picks and then trade picks for Zadorov if they didn`t want to do a swap.

If they want to do a 1 for 1 then yes I would 100% do it.

Thank god you aren’t GM lol. This trade is terrible. If the pens wanted a big physical pylon, they’d have just kept Jack Johnson. I don’t know what your fascination is with trading a top 4 d that’s young and on a good contract for literal crap lol.

to be fair to Jack Johnson he wasn't technically a pylon, he could skate. Which really was kind of his problem, he'd skate all over the place and be no where near where he was suppose to be as the other team scored.

But Z is a pylon, he's way to slow to be a penguin.
