No team elected to take ghost when he was on waivers two weeks ago, but he's worth a fourth round pick now?

I would do one of the Klingberg or Ellis trades I think a first is needed in either by getting both players and aging the defense that much the window to compete is significantly shorter now

certainly if he finishes the season with 10+ goals in limited time with a not high cap hit!

He's been our best D and probably the best player this year. A trade not involving a first will not go through. Frost's been injured the whole year and is a bit of a question mark, Myers is a bottom-4 D-man, that 2021 pick isn't exactly tempting...3rd don't really add much here.

Kings are looking for a defenseman who can actually play defense and Ghost, isn't it. And Flyers fans should prepare themselves to lose assets and/or retain if they wish to move Ghost. 30 teams looked at him and feel he doesn't have the potential to make his contract make sense.

On a team with long term contracts, players you need to resign with 9 million dollar cap hits for a few years a peak defencement at almost 30 fetching a second and a third with a pretty decent upside right hand shot big body D who had one down year a high skill forward who could play anywhere and has shown great potential and 2 picks both top 75ish most likely that would be a steal for dallas

I'm assuming our views are different on Myers and Sanheim I think everyone on the team is having a bad year and don't think that we need to move on from both Sanheim and Myers when we've seen them be a pretty successful second pair in the past but am not opposed to moving one of them. Also I'm not a huge fan of Risto sure he's a physical guy to add to the line up but he makes a lot of money and hasn't been very good

agreed definitely some recency bias and the ristolainen contract is only one more year so a physical guy with skill and toughness can clear the crease for hart while contribute a bit, i think myers and sanheim are solely replaceable by our own young york and zemula just after this stop gap year but i totally see what youre saying for certain

Yeah I'd much rather keep Klingberg honestly over Myers and some question marks. He's one of the best offensive defensemen in the league.

Elite players are only that much harder to find.

I think NSH is getting good value here, even though Sanheim doesn't make sense for them.

Guaranteed for them, when was the last time the Stars made a big move? If we're to move Klinger it'll be for an overpay.
