Thorton was fine just putting him on the 6 vs 5 was a little questionable but honestly still making some incredible passes, Engvall was terrible and honestly needs to be in that press box. Has not impressed me in any of the last 12 games even though we went 9-1-1.

Pretty much the same for me, in the playoffs I would maybe play Thornton over Engvall.

I would not play engvall period at this point hes not impressed me, as soon as Foligno comes off to the pressbox for him

I guess, I don’t watch too much Leafs hockey only when it’s available on the TV. Nash would probably replace both when he comes back.

Ya it’s hard to watch right now. I can appreciate what he brings to the locker room... but his skating is not there.

If Engvall is going to be on a 4th line with Spezza- as opposed to an all defensive line, might as well play Thornton or even Robertson there (though it's clear Keefe will not want that- Robertson was the only player that came to play and he got no minutes). One thing is for sure- stop with this shoot from anywhere pp. Once Nylander is back, load it up and trust the high skill guys will eventually make high skills plays. Who cares, at this rate run the 4+ hyman. You will get comparable defensive security there as you would with Reilly anyways.
