Makar is in currently recording easily one of the best beginnings to an NHL D career ever

    Ever.

    His career comparables currently are:

    Bourque, Potvin, MacInnis, Coffey, Karlsson

    The really crazy part though?

They put up similar point totals to him in often much higher scoring eras

So he's actually outpacing elite Hall of Famers rn

    😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

    3x6.7 is 🗑

I gave him 8x8.8 recently to try and account for the current economic situation and even that felt low

    Proceed accordingly ✔

EJ can submit a 19-team list for who he can be traded to and Seattle probably won't be on it. That and who will want to take him? Detroit got a 1st for one year of Marc Staal

Haula is a meh to me. He's dropped off the past couple of years, so why pay him and play him over Kaut/Bowers/Ranta/etc.

Foligno probably gets more than that, and as @Radu47 said, Makar is going to make bank. Though a bridge deal could happen, I just think it'd be for more than $6.75 mil.

there's really no need to move johnson and our first out odds are he will be on LTIR 15 games into the season and we will have lots of space come deadline again. I don't see us bringing back nemeth, he's just added depth since our D line is young and if graves were to go down we'd need a shot blocking pk d to step in.

it's based on point's extension in tampa. he signed the same bridge after putting up a 92 point season in which there was no flat cap. not direct comparable because of position but i think it puts them in the same ballpark.

i think seattle will be on his list. it's not a bad landing spot. if the avs absolutely have to then can retain $2m and trade him.

detroit got a 2nd for marc staal, not a first. but fair enough point, maybe it cost more than a 1st to trade johnson.

haula style would be a good fit for this team. he's good off the rush and can provide depth scoring. he can line up and center or lw. kaut's already in the lineup. ranta isn't ready. bowers is a maybe but for sure a step down for haula. haula would be well worth the extra 800k over bowers for a regular spot.

foligno could get more. 'intangable' aren't cheap but he's only averaged 30 points the last 4 seasons. if that's the case there is more cap space to make it work.

i think people are blowing the makar contract out of the water. i don't think that number is far off for a bridge.
