Put Byron back with Danault and Tatar. Vets together are playing well (obviously I'm refering to the time spend with the team)

Giving Perry too much ice time isn't the thing to do here, he's an aging vet who excels in his role but won't be able to keep the pace as a full time top6.

And he excels with skilled players, so putting him with Danault & Tatar wouldn’t work.

Pretty surprising though Tatar is on pace to be our 1st points producer like always

He’s behind Toffoli & Petry in points pace, but yes he’s having the kind of season we’ve come to expect in Montréal. And he has a good shot, but the assists are because he, Danault, and Gallagher know each other so well that they can predict where each other will be. Perry gets his points by deking defenders on his own or staying in front of the net, not by moving the puck.

I think I put it like this earlier in the season, Tatar - Danault - Gallagher work like a unit with one mind playing together, while when playing together Perry - Suzuki - Anderson are 3 guys who are individually skilled, and those skills sometimes end up adding to a goal.
