Why is Schifele playing RW over Marner?

Love Byram's potential as a top dman in the future, but I am so confused why people think he'll be on this team in less than a year from now. Like, is it realistic he will actually be a better option than even his own teammate Sam Girard by next year's Olympics? Would love to know the reasoning behind the pick. It perplexes me lol.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pasta have been best line in NHL for a few years now. Marner playing skill is what most closely ressembles pasta's

Reasoning is I expect Bowen to play next to Makar next year for Colorado and for years to come.

I agree Girard is better than Byram right now. But I don't see two small frames Girard and Makar on the same pair, for Colorado or Canada.

When I look at the lack of depth for LHD for Team Canada, and try to find a suitable bigger body, defensive responsable D-Men to pair with Makar... I must conclude Byram has as good of shot as anybody, especially if he plays well next year next to him.

Other names I expect to be looked at for LHD is Nurse and Morrissey. With Nurse having the better shot. I thought Chabot was a lock a year ago, now I'm not so sure.

Fair about size for Girard. But if size is a factor yeah...Nurse is much more of a factor in that department at 6'4 220, and already plays 25 mins a night and leads the league in goals from dmen. Byram is pretty average sized, and has barely registered a point right? Again, love Byram, but just because he's paired with Makar doesn't mean he goes. He's not really making the waves Doughty was at 20 to merit a spot in 2010, for example. Doughty was already playing 25 mins and putting up a lot of offense.
