What if, lets say Erikson retired on LTIR ...... and we built 3 lines deep (I like Miller at Centre).

I'm a big fan of waterbug like players, like Hogelander,and hopefully Podkolzin. They win puck battles and carry a lot of skill.

I would love to steal Yamamoto from Edmonton to fit on our second line and run 3 deep lines with Miller at Centre. Would Edm match at 4,250,000?

This also has Petey and Hughes locked up long term.

Add in maybe a top 5 pick this year and "daddy likes".

Eriksson isn't gonna be on LTIR but Beagle is a possibility. I also think they're better off trading the 2022 2nd for Graves. Hamonic is also not gonna make that much

True true. Graves is a LD though, we need RD's until Woo is ready to go.

I don't think you pay Petey that much because he's been sluggish this season (I have him in Fantasy) and I believe they do a Patrik Laine-like deal something small over 3 years, now with Yamamoto, he won't leave Edmonton. Plus you'd be paying JT Miller 5.5 to play thrid line minutes which won't fly with how the canucks cap situation is. Now with getting rid of Holtby that's a big thing because I would keep him till the deadline and give Seattle a 2nd to pass on him because you need to usher Demko into that roll with splitting starts so he gets used to the idea. Overpay to Hammer, Edler won't come back he'll go cup chasing, Quinn's contract is perfect. Plus Loui has to have an actual "Injury" to be on the LTIR btw.

About the only way you steal Yamamoto is if you steal a van, buy a gun & mask and then abduct him.

Yzerman constantly trades players with character issues so I highly doubt he’d trade for Virtanen.
