Yeah, big no on both deals. Malkin is old and has a big contract, while Hintz is younger and has a better contract, plus he's better than Malkin this season while playing on a heavily defensive team. We also aren't giving up a 1st and 2nd for Letang, money doesn't grow on trees. There's not a lot on your roster that could get Hintz, we aren't moving him he's one of our untouchables.

You should remind readers that Chiarelli has been rehired as Oilers GM in this scenario. Then it makes sense.

Also good luck signing Heiskanen to that, he declines faster than McDavid vs the Flames. And even if you could sign him to that deal we wouldn't let go of our best player for a 2nd round pick, we would easily match no question.

How fast do you think Dallas matches? Right away or do they let Pittsburgh sweat a bit. Literally 0% chance they don’t match.

Hintz has more points than him and a higher PPG what are you talking about. He's old and past his prime, the decline will come soon.

It means Heiskanen will decline this offer faster than how McDavid skates vs the Flames. Just search McDavid fast moments and you'll know

So if he old and past his prime, whats your excuse for last year when he put up 74 points in 55 games?

Last year he was good. He's 34 years old, you shouldn't expect him to keep up with this production for much more. This year he's declined a lot, even if it's because of injuries, Hintz was also injured last year and this year but he's maintaining his level of production. I would much rather have a 24 year old Hintz who's getting into his prime than a 34 year old Malkin who already has gone through his prime, he ain't getting any better, he's already done that part in his career.
