I'd put Pacioretty in over JT Miller and move Wheeler to C. I'd also prefer Eichel as 2C

I am envious of the young talent options the US have for the defense. Goaltending is lights out. This will be a very hard team to beat.

I find it so hard to believe that Gaudreau doesn't make this line up, but I just don't know who he replaces.

Not sure I understand your proposed line combos... Who does Pacio replace on LW? I mean even Gaudreau doesn't make the cut.

As a goal scorer, Pacioretty may have a shot to replace Guentzel... but I don't see it.

Also I think Miller is unbelievably underrated. He is a two way monster! Exactly what you want in a centerman.

Eichel is in my mind not a true center. I think he fits great on Matthews wing!

Yea I'm definitely not a fan of JT Miller, so I'm in that group. I'd drop Trocheck to 3rd line (he or Wheeler as 3c) put Eichel as 2c, Mat Tkachuk at RW, then Connor and Patches as 1Lw & 2LW and then Guentzel on 3rd line

Connor - Matthews - Tkachuk
Patches- Eichel - Kane
Guentzel - Trochek - Wheeler

Ok so I have a few issues here... One is all LH on first line. I guess it can work but not my personal ideal situation. Also that second line, as much as it has the potentiel to be amazing ofensively, they will be WOEFUL in their own zone. Can't have that against Canada.

Here is a proposal for you to fit Patches in and have Eichel as a center.

M. Tkachuk - Matthews - Debrincat (World Junior Line)
B. Tkachuk - Eichel - K.Hayes (Boston connection)
Patches - Trochek - Kane (I like the Kane- Patches combo... but Trichek brings mroe D than eichel)
Connor - Larkin - Wheeler

Guentzel and Oshie as extras.

I like it, except for Hayes on 2nd. Wheeler is a much better player than Hayes. I'd switch them up. But yea, I like this team much better now
