Value for Graves is fine but I really struggle to see the logic of avs just trading him or draft picks.

He wont be protect in the expansion draft or is a desire to be protected out of the Avs Dmen so the whole concept of avs should trade him so hes not picked falls flat. Avs dont care who is picked, someone decent with salary and term is going no matter what.

If Graves is picked, that fine.
If graves isnt picked thats fine too, he is still valuable on the team.

Unless Avs are getting something to help their roster, I dont see Graves being moved pre or post expansion draft

Caps fan, don’t necessarily hate the trade but I don’t know much about Motte. Jensen is developing really well and thriving in Laviolette’s system, so I’m happy to hold onto him, but understand a move might need to be made with expansion looming. Any insight on motte is appreciated!

He an excellent bottom six forward. Best pker on the Canucks and has good speed and decent hands not afraid to lay a hit either

Gotcha. Sounds like a better, cheaper, younger Hagelin. If we can dump Hagelin in the off-season, Motte would be a fantastic replacement. I think the only thing is that the caps would want a higher pick than a 5th coming back if they’re trading away Jensen for him.
