    Both trades have optimistic returns. I doubt MTL even qualifies Lehkonen at this point. Valueless player.

    no because hes younger and we need a play maker. tatar will be on the wrong side of 30 and will cost more. we have more pressing contracts to worry about in 1-2 years.

    So I imagine when the call comes in and the deal is laid out Hextall stops Bergevin from continuing and gives him Rutherfords number. While the Pens probably arent going tanking after this season the whole reason Hextall was brought in was to start stockpiling the AHL/Prospect pipeline. Poulin is arguably our best, or one of our best forward prospects. So to give him up alongside a second and the goalie we are exposing in the Seattle expansion draft? Thats gonna be a no from the Penguins side on all fronts.
