Good haul for Eichel imo. Eichel would be insane in NY.

They’d get a center back, no? Chytil+Kakko and the picks.

I don’t want Eichel at all. Contract is too large and we’ve already too much big money committed between Panarin, Kreider and Trouba. While he’d be great for us in 2-3 years we wouldn’t be able to resign most of our young guys who all are gonna require a decent amount of money. We can’t take another $10 mil contract on and field a competitive team.

Cap in 2-3 years would be an awful mess if we got him. It’ll be a mess without him. Not possible in a flat cap world, without destroying all our depth, since we won’t be able to afford our young guys.

Literally in the next 3 years the following guys will be due for an extension: Shesty, Georgiev, Miller, Fox, Lindgren, Jones, Chytil, Kravtsov, Kakko, Buch, Laf, Mika plus a replacement for Strome if we don’t keep him. It’s gonna be really tough cause of the cap not going up.

The flat cap will create a lot of problems forsure. Just fun to be an ACGM lol.

Winnipeg wouldn't be adding to Copp for 1 year of Ristolainen, but there is a chance the Jets would consider a Copp deal if contract negotiations go bad this summer.
