You're not better with this if you give away your 1st LHD. Also BUF are in rebuild. They would target at team like NYR or LA for a Eichel trade (Byfield, Lafrenière, Kakko, Turcotte....)

Would assume BUF is on Kuz no trade list. Plus, other teams could offer much better packages of hight picks and high end prospects. Caps just don't have those, unfortunately.

Tarlam01 is right. Keep Orlov, throw in McMichael.

Rangers are a good team to target for this kind of trade with all of their assets. Eichel might be the type of guy that puts them over the edge.

Eichel averages about 6 more points per 82 games over Kuznetsov since 2015. Kuznetsov had a legitimate shot at the 2018 Conn Smythe and is a Stanley Cup Champion while Eichel has played 0 playoff games in his career. The gap is probably not as wide as you think.

Kuznetsov was in his 3rd season (never mind 4 years in the KHL), Eichel was a rookie in 2015. Eichel has more goals that Kuznetsov. Eichel also has 355p in 375g compared to 410p in 512G, not to mention the 3.5 year age gap
