Here Seattle takes Donskoi. Maybe Colorado throws in a third or someone like MacDonald to keep them away from Graves. Donskoi is an easier loss to absorb than Graves would be.

You have to think no one would trade for johnsons contract without being heavily over paid so odds are we are stuck with it. I think they could move graves but they would have to find someone who can fill that role then and that might cost them 3 mil still. At least in graves we know what we are getting.

Be glad that Compher deal isn't necessary, because it's not going to happen - Compher's contract extends into the 2022 offseason, during that critical period when we're handing out new contracts to Jones and Werenski and probably Laine and either or both goaltenders and Roslovic and a few others. We're not taking anything that even hints at being a contract overpayment for that year.
