I don’t know why the Rangers wouldn’t wait till the expansion and see if Seattle wants to take him. They could make a trade to ensure he gets taken, that saves them the cap space.

You’re very likely correct on this one. It was close, I just thought cause Backlund is having a better year they might want him. It largely comes down to if Lucic is willing to waive his NMC.

i think ron francis and co. are smart enough to know that his locker room antics far outweigh his talent level

plus good luck winning over the city of seattle by bringing in a bleeding-heart conservative who would probably make like 10 CHAZ jokes in his first press conference alone
