I have to imagine the Kings can find a better LD than Leddy who is cheaper in the free agency.

I said any team, but leddy is on pace for 50 pts (82 game season) and hes been solid defensively. He's turned back the clock this season.

Is Bailey that bad? That you have to retain and pay to dump him?

Is your cap that ****ty that you have to dump Leddy?

he has 3 years left on his contract and hes an average middle 6 winger at this point in his career. With the flat cap that's what I think it would cost to move him, but I could be wrong.

They don't have to move leddy, but I think they should. I don't think he'll maintain his current level of play next season. Sell high

lou put more effort into Greene's contract structure than retaining toews.

I mean I know Hickey was no guarantee at the start of the season and Greene is supposedly great for the locker room, but you'd think Hickey could've held down the 3LD spot right? He's a decent two-way presence and I feel like on the ice at least he wouldn't have hindered Dobson's growth any more than Greene has.

I know there's no point in complaining about it now, but from a roster construction standpoint, it just makes zero sense

or they could've signed one of koekkek, Kulikov, forbert, Hutton. You'd think greene was the only D left in free agency with the contract they gave him.

Greene has definitely held dobson back, just look at Dobsons underlying #s with and without greene.

I don't think we should move led, he is actually doing very well, and Bailey is just good with holding the team together in the case of chemistry, but besides that I think this is fine

he is doing well, but I don't think hell keep it up next season. Bailey is turning 32, this team has enough vets and he's not earning his contract. Rather have a younger player with upside take his place.

In full agreement Bailey should go to Seattle, I'll just believe it when I see it. Trotz cant shut up about him, feel like they protect him. Keeping Bailey holds back the present and future of this team. I dont think he has a bad contract, but they gotta make room for younger/better/more important guys. Hope they learn to swallow that pill.

Yeah, this is what I think they should do - not that I think they’ll definitely do it. It’s pretty sad that they’re forcing him in a top 6 role when he’s a 3rd liner at best. It’s not an albatross contract, but he’s worth no more than 3.25 mill.

Trotz always has to go out of his way to praise the over 30 players. He said komarov was outstanding 2 out of the last 3 interviews and when asked about wahlstrom he said he was very good, but had to throw in that he fell off a bit in the 2nd half of the game lol. D*ck

Btw was listening to an isles podcast that staple was on and they were talking about beau and he said something like
“Beau is a dynamic player, could score 30 goals on another team but he’s going to want 4-4.5 mill , he could be the odd man out “ 😂

I honestly hope they become a lottery team and barzal requests a trade if they trade beau. It’s funny how staple will never bring up trading bailey , old declining player making 5 mill.
