Pearson NTC

EDM declines. Holtby is worth practically nothing

Beagle most likely LTIR. OTT doesn't want our scraps

Bury Roussel

No thanks, Holtby hasn’t played good at all for the last two years. Now I realize that Mike Smith won’t be in the league for much longer, but I rather sign him for one more year 1-1.5M instead. By the time he retires, we will find someone else, or hopefully one of our prospects will come up.

Detroit says no: The reason they are rebuilding is because they gave term to depth players, not going to give up assets to take more on. They would happily take picks/prospects in exchange for Pearson or Eriksson though!

Idk I think smith could be in the league longer than holtby. It’s not hard to see the oilers move on from kosk and pursue a younger goalie but keeping smith around another 2-3 years. Age doesn’t matter as much when smith stays in such great shape and has a fierce competitor mentality.

Edmonton doesn't want holtby, Holtby is a downgrade on what they currently have.
Pearson isn't really an asset detroit would want either
