Really? I`m just toying around with this as I think there is a very real possibility they move him to Florida this offseason

How do you know that? He has been a GM for 1 year
No way he gives up 2 firsts + for 1 year of an aging overpaid malkin

No thanks. That does nothing for the Pens. They don't need Knight, Bennett sucks, and the 1st rounder will be late in a bad draft.

Lol add a couple more 1sts for Malkin there bud. Way off in terms of value and not to mention that Malkin is UNTOUCHABLE.

Malkin would resign for less and an aging Malkin is still better than 99% of the league

Malkin has been untouchable in the past. I don`t think that is the case anymore. Its only 1 year (even though he will resign). So I guess you could put another conditional 1st on if he resigns.

I disagree. They gain an elite goalie prospect, a 1st which Hextall wants and Bennett does not suck. Plus the biggest gain from this is the cap space. They can go out and add a big time player or maybe two as a result.

Going back I would add a conditional 2022 1st on if he resigns with FLA.

Yeah he`ll retire a Pen and be in the rafters but I think he goes and plays somewhere else for a while before doing that.

No offense but this is the most misinformed and inaccurate thing I’ve ever seen on this website.

Malkin says he doesn’t want to play anywhere else. He has a no move clause. Crosby doesn’t want Malkin to play somewhere else, he has more clout than any player in the entire league. The GM and President don’t want Malkin to play somewhere else. Burke especially has made this crystal clear. Crystal. The bloody OWNER is outspoken that he wants the core to retire as penguins.

They feel so bad about moving flower they spent all offseason trying to get him back.

And you moved him for a GOALIE prospect when we have Jarry AND JUST SPENT OUR TOP TWO PICKS IN THE LAST DRAFT ON GOALIES?!?!

    What are you smoking bro?

Where did Burke say that? The Penguins have tried moving him before and Crosby shut it down yes. I think with one year left on his deal he may consider it. He lives in FLA in the offseason.

None of our goalies have the ceiling Spencer Knight does. We`re talking Vasilevsky type ceiling. Plus you get a player and a 1st or two (if Malkin resigns with FLA) and massive cap space they can use on an impact player.

It`s definitely an option the Pens are going to be speaking with Malkin about this offseason and a lot of it will probably depend on what happens over the rest of the season.

Alright, we`ll see. Might not but the possibility is definitely there and there will be conversations with everyone involved on it. Will depend on how they do in playoffs.
