Description

- Kahun was a failed experiment, flip him for a '22 pick so we can actually scout a player
- Trade Koskinen to a team lacking goalie depth
- Leafs probably re-sign Hyman but if he's availabe theres our 1LW
- Caggiula gives us some depth down the wing and can work up to the top 9
- give Holloway a shot
- Re-sign Smitty and hope he plays like this year
- SEND TURRIS DOWN
- Buy out Neal (Way cheaper than burying him in the minors)
- Shore and Koekkoek as depth guys
- Hyman gets 90% of pp's in front of net (Give other 10% to Pulju and Holloway)
- Klef, Nurse, and Barrie battle for pp1
- Sign Raanta to 5x5 to solidify goaltending
- Barrie realizes grass isn't always greener and stays

Well you didn’t underpay larsson which most do. Didn’t give nuge a raise that I agree with. Leafs will likely keep Hyman if that’s the number but a lot can happen between now and then perhaps foligno takes his job unlikely but possible. The only complaint I really have with this is bouch more than deserves a full time roster spot I’d personally go with him over bear which is why bear tends to find himself on my trade block.

Story is Raanta cant stay healthy. His numbers when healthy are good, but 5x5 is a lot for a 32 YO goalie with history of injury. Better options.
Need a center to win a draw on PK and who isnt named Leon or Connor.
Man thats an overpay on Larsson. Gonna regret that one. 1 year too much. over $4 is too much.
Where's Bouch?
I'd be looking for size on the wings vs Caggiula.

I agree that Hyman probably wont be available. Holland has to go for one of the big LW's (Hall, Laine, Heinen) with the extra 5mil in free agency to play on a line with McD. I don't think trading Bear this early in his career is a good idea, especially with the Oilers history with those moves (Petry, Schultz, Marino). I like what Bear did last year and i feel this season was just a sophmore slump. I would want Bouch in the lineup but i just don't see a spot for him unless jones gets traded and Bear/Larsson play the left side with him.

The Oilers badly need a goalie who can preform and i think Raanta could get 5x5 on the Fa market. The elite goalie is, in my opinion, the missing piece on this team. RNH can win draws on Pk and khaira and Archie bring alot of tenacity on the PK, as well as yamo. Larsson brings alot to this team and is deserving of a bit of a raise. there just isnt an opportunity to play bouch enough at the NHL level (Give him near 15 mins per game) so he just doesn't slot in unless jones goes. The oilers have some size in their bottom 6 in Kass and khaira, and we NEED some bottom 6 scoring and hopefully Caggiula brings that along with Holloway. Holloway is also 6'1" so he brings a little size
