Fair Eichel trade

Created by: Devil
Team: 2020-21 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 14, 2021
Published: Apr. 14, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This trade makes sense and is fair for both sides. Rangers get a young #1 Center while the Sabres get equivalent to around 4 first round picks. To get Eichel, YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP SOMETHING OF VALUE. The main piece going to Buffalo is Kaako. Kaako could be a franchise winger but Eichel is already better and is worth much more than Kaako. Kaako is also replaceable for the Rangers with Buch and Kravstov on the right side. Kaako could very well break out in Buffalo when he is given a bigger role. Strome has been playing good this year but if the Rangers trade for Eichel, they need to make space for him and clear salary. Strome adds value and would fill a center spot for Buffalo. Geogiev is a decent young goalie the Sabres could use, especially if Ullmark leaves. Rangers don't need him with Shesty as their goalie. Scheider is a decent defensive prospect but the Rangers don't need him with Fox, Lundkvist, and Trouba as the RHD. Sabres could add defensemen to their pipeline. The first round pick would be around the 10-15 range.

This trade makes sense for both sides because the Sabres get a ton of value for Eichel. If Eichel gets traded, the Sabes won't get maximum value because whenever a star player does get traded, the return isn't always as valuable as the player. Especially if Eichel requests a trade which is very likely. However, this offer would is very good for the Sabres and would help them in their rebuild. This trade makes sense for the Rangers because all of the pieces they are moving are replaceable. They aren't giving up too much as some Ranger fans might think.

Sabres don't need a good and young center coming back in an Eichel trade. They have Cozens who could be a #1 center. They get Strome back who is a surfaceable 2C. If Strome doesn't work, then try Middlestadt at 2C to see if he still has that potential. If Middlestadt doesn't work then look towards the draft. With your own first round pick, the Sabres could get Beneirs or Eklund to be their future 1/2 C. If none of them are there with the Sabres pick (very unlikely), get Kent Johnson with the Rangers first round pick

Cozens isnt a franchise center, and they have nothing behind him. I dont believe in Mittelstadt. A center coming back is a priority. Beniers ceiling is 2C and thats years away. The Sabres only trade Eichel if they are better after the trade. Everyone shovels dmen into these Eichel trades as well, because D prospects are expendable. The Sabres have 4 d prospects that are ready or close, with more on the way, thats the least of their concerns

LMAO When Mittelstadt started playing great you don't believe in him, what's your problem? Look at his metrics and produce, he really improved in all the components and I don't understand why his game should suddenly fall, he has all the tools.

6 games, im going to need a lot more convincing to trade away my franchise C and put him at 2C. They literally tried that already with Mitts, we ended up losing ROR. Sorry if that's hard to comprehend.

I think this is really the perfect trade, it doesn't leave any holes for the Rangers while filling holes Buffalo needs, this is probably how it ends up going down

Would definitely be interesting to see what would happen if Eichel requests a trade, would just be a bidding war between NY and LA

The only problem with the trade is that Sabres fans want a future #1 center in an Eichel trade which is unlikely to happen

Sabres pass, easy. Any Ranger deal that starts with Kakko, Georgiev is a straight pass

@Devil1122 The evolution of Jack Eichel trades on this site:

NYR: Miller, Strome, Chytil, (...) ?
BUF: No, starts with Lafreniere/Kakko/Fox/Shesterkin
NYR: Vitali Kravtsov, Miller, Chytil, Schneider, (...)?
BUF: No, starts with Lafreniere/Kakko/Fox/Shesterkin
NYR: Nils Lundkvist, Zac Jones, Kravtsov, Miller, Chytil, Schneider, (...)?
BUF: No, starts with Lafreniere/Kakko/Fox/Shesterkin

BUF: Finally, a Ranger fan that isn’t dumb

I also think Chytil is in the deal because one day a Center depth of Cozens -Chytil - Middlestat isnt that bad, plus if they still suck in 2021 and 2022 they can get an Generational or Franchise center

Check out my new ACGM. I explained it similar to this. Plus 2022 draft is loaded so they can definitely replace Eichel

Yes, I misread the message, I did not mean Eichel's trade, I thought you just didn’t believe in Mitts as a player, even if he would be 3C for us.
