The problem with calling Dahlin a superstar is that he can't handle elite forwards. Maybe he will be able to one day, but his defensive game is WAY behind the hype right now. He's barely a 3rd pairing guy right now, 3 years into is career. For that reason I think the Sabres would be best to go with a bridge contract rather than paying him with the hopes that he'll develop into a player worthy of that contract.
