You've got 3 boat anchor contracts though. Wouldn't it be better to build with 6 guys who are WORTH $10+?

You including Doughty in the boat category? He's had an excellent season.

Yes, but his last 2 were poor. His best days are clearly behind him but he has SIX more years at $11M. You'd be FAR ahead betting on Matthews covering his contract because Doughty is not going to.

There are only 2 defenseman over 10 mil and 2 goalies, I needed defense and a better goalie than some 700k one

Your team would be better off spending $11+M on the league's leading goal scorer than on a broken Erik Karlsson, that's all I'm saying.

I don't disagree with that. I'd honestly have at 4 of my $10+ guys up front. Matthews, Eichel, McDavid, Panarin. I don't know how you get around going with Price though, unfortunately.
